Our life- our Human Experience
Experiencing is to us humans that “feedback”, which brings us the answer to our volition and deed, and thereby helps us to maturing realisation.

The term gender identity is according to Merriam Webster :a person's internal sense of being male, female, some combination of male and female, or neither male nor female
Some people are not sure if they are male or female and to deal with that can be very confusing for them, and when they are children or teenagers it can be also very confusing for their parents.
What is the best way forward? How can I support my child/teenager in such circumstances is something that parents ask themselves.
The following is here offered for further considerations and also takes into account the spiritual dimension.
Gender Identity and Sex-Assignment Surgery. Article written by Professor E.O. Anosike and compiled by Edeltraud Grace
All human beings on earth are born either male or female. The two genders manifest distinct genetic and physical characteristics. Differences are even more evident in their personal characteristics. Men, being physically stronger and coarser, are seen as the providers, women, being gentler and more intuitive, are the nurturers. The era of feminism, aimed at breaking the stereotype and providing equal opportunities for women, which has largely been achieved in the meantime, is giving way to an era in which the question is posed whether the right body is always acquired at birth, since there area individuals who inwardly identify with the opposite gender.
The science of embryology shows that humans begin life looking much the same. The genes later steer the development of a human embryo into male or female. After about the eight week of gestation, female XX and male XY sex chromosomes set the development of ovaries and testes respectively. The testes secrete male hormone, testosterone, while the ovaries secrete the female hormone, oestrogen. The brain develops receptors which are said to be "wired" differently in men and women to enable the function of the hormones.
The hormones stimulate the development of secondary sexual characteristics such as breasts or body hair that distinguish male from female.
It is estimated that between 750,000 and three million Americans consider themselves transgender, meaning that the gender at birth is at variance with their self-perception. Many people are convinced that they were born with the wrong bodies. The sense of self clashes with the disposition of the body and the nature of activity of interest to the affected individual. The phenomenon is described as "gender identity disorder" by some professionals.
For some individuals, the "gender identity disorder" had reached a crisis point that they are willing to undergo surgical correction. In sex reassignment surgery a person's appearance and sexual identity area changed to the opposite sex. I was motivated to write this article after watching some "very bloody" procedures on television. The male-to-female operation involved surgical construction of a vagina while the female-to-male variety involved procedures that included mastectomy (removal of the female breasts) and the construction of a penis and testes.
The first reported procedure was male to female performed on Lili Elbe in Germany in 1930. he underwent five operations and died after the fifth that involved ovarian transplant. It is estimated that between 1,000 and 2,000 individuals undergo sex-reassignment surgery each year.
A lot of controversy surrounds the issue of sex reassignment due to a wide belief that it is ineffective, unnatural and possibly immoral. Many people identify trans-sexuals with the sex at birth, more so since the genetic makeup is unchanged by surgery. The biology, too, remains largely functionally unchanged.
In 1979, Paul McHugh, a renowned psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA, argued that to perform physical gender reassignment was "to cooperate with mental illness rather than try to cure it". This view was widely criticised as extreme, since gender reassignment was generally believed to make transsexual individuals feel at peace with their bodies.
A feature in Newsweek magazine "Re-thinking Gender", highlighted five trans-women and two trans-men. One was a 56 year old Baptist Minister born male, John, who became Julie after surgery. Curiously, the picture of Julie was with his wife, Joanne, in support of former man now a fellow "woman".
What is it that makes us male or female? All that is designated as "living" expresses a duality: positive and negative unite in complementary interaction for completeness. So, it is that the human spirit is able to express its activities in either an active, magnetically positive or passive, magnetically negative nature.
Once a spirit germ has decided out of its emergent volition on a positive or negative nature of activity, it remains bound to it permanently. The work, "In the Light of Truth", the Grail Message, by Abd-ru-Shin has this to say on this matter:
"Here it is the nature of the spirit-germ's activity which is decisive, that is, in becoming conscious, strives mainly to develop the abilities resting with it, whether in a positive, compelling and energetic manner, or in a negative, quietly preserving way, wherever its principal desires urge it.
And in this activity of the spirit-germ, even if it consists at the start of no more than strong desires which increases to an urge, the form shapes itself.
That which is positive shapes the male form and that which is negative the female form. Here male and female are already outwardly recognisable through their forms. Each in its forms is the expression of the nature of the activity which it chooses or desires.
Female and male therefore have nothing to do with the usual conception of sex, but merely indicate the nature of their activity in Creation. It is only in the World of Gross Matter, so familiar to man, that these forms evolve the procreative organs which we designate as male and female. Only the physical body, needs these organs for is procreation!
Thus the nature of the activity in Creation shapes the form of the actual body, male or female of which the gross material earthly body is again but a coarsely constructed copy! " Lecture:" Sex"
Sometimes with human beings a man inclines towards the feminine nature of activity while a woman inclines towards the masculine. This can lead to a distortion of the soul. A male spirit lacks the delicate intuitive capacity, which characterises genuine womanhood and through which she is able to transmit finer radiations to refine the coarser and more earthly activity of the man. Likewise a female spirit who inclines towards masculine activity can suppress or render inactive this delicate intuitive capacity, but she still cannot become a "real" man. Such a woman actually robs the man of the indispensable connection with finer radiations from the higher realms of Creation. The situation may then develop finally where a male soul goes on to incarnate in a female body or a female soul in a male body. Again the Grail Message says about such distortion
"The spiritual, animistic and ethereal form of the body changes as soon as the spirit-germ changes its activity. If it changes from a negative to a predominantly positive activity, then the female form must change into a male one, and vice versa, for the predominant nature of the activity shapes the form!
The transformation of the gross material physical shell, however, cannot follow so quickly; as it is only intended to last for a very short time. Here the change manifests itself in reincarnations, of which in most cases there are many!
Hence it happens that a human spirit sometimes wanders through its lives on earth alternately in male and female bodies, depending on its changing inner attitude, brought about by a stubborn and violent distortion! "
In sex reassignment surgery the distortion is concretised. Some affected individuals may not be patient to revert the condition naturally in a reincarnation. Is it then beneficial to undergo sex-reassignment surgery? For example, the distortion may be at its initial stages, and aid may thereby be given that inadvertently only consolidates the distortion.
Experience is what is most beneficial for the development of a human spirit. Here, too, a proper of the inner distortion is advisable. For example, the woman who is actually a male spirit would gain in trying to live as a woman. The Grail Message advises: "Her experience, however, helps her to change; for she must soon notice that a genuine man never feels happy in her proximity. He finds within himself no understanding for her. Much less can harmony arise, because genuine manhood is repulsed by everything false, thus also by the masculine striving of a woman!"
The same, of course. applies to a female soul residing in a male body.
Sex Reassignment Surgery may thus deprive of the experiences to correct the distortion from within.
