Dear Reader: Since a while, I have known about Dr Robert McNary's website and work, but I only started to read a book by him (Baby Doctor) a short time ago and I loved it. I am currently also reading his book "People Medicine" and am impressed. What I love is that there is a medical doctor bringing light to non-medical people enabling us to understand more about the limitations of the medical system (and some of its strengths) and expanding our understanding with his medical knowledge combined with energy medicine. It is important that we do not expect from the gods in white coats, more than they are able to deliver, also to be careful about some medical practices as they can do more harm than good. It is an honest and touching book, with plenty of personal experiences shared and as Dr Bob is also very much educated in Energy Healing and practices and teaches it, a wonderful eye-opener for everyone who is seeking health in Body, Soul and Spirit.
I also delved into Robert McNary's Bio about Dr Franz Anton Mesmer and you will find more details about it below. Mr Mc Nary, alas Dr Bob, takes us onto a journey to the times when Dr Franz Anton Mesmer blessed humanity with his healing abilities and discoveries. We accompany Mesmer to the time in Germany where he grew up and where he discovered the so-called animal magnetism, the fluid, the light in everything that can be used for healing, which he then eventually also wanted to bring to Paris. We learn about his tumultuous time in the "enlightened" city of France and also the times afterwards. Dr Bob lets us get to know Mesmer and his ideas in lively pictures and scenarios. At this time the word energy healing was not yet invented, so it was even hard for Mesmer to bring his discoveries about the healing powers of nature into the consciousness of a society that was already then stuck in intellectual chains and bombarded by often dangerous and outdated medical approaches. Most people had a hard time to understand Mesmer, as what people do not see, already at that time, found hard to accept as even existent. His main opponents did find Mesmer with his medical colleagues. What a sad picture enrols in front of our eyes, but when we look at modern-day medicine, is it so different?
The book Mesmer Eyes, I will recommend in the future to every new student of BioMagnetic Healing with Hands as it is truly an important part of history! I felt as if I was part of it and it also brought me nearer to the understandings about Healing with Magnetism based on the knowledge of this time, which is valid still today although we use different vocabulary and broader and extended understandings also thanks to quantum physics or new knowledge given to mankind. For me, the BioMagnetic Healing training offered in our institute builds onto and expands in knowledge and understanding where Mesmer ended as at his time he was lacking the words and understandings which we now have available.
Please enjoy Mesmer Eyes.
Here is more about the author: Robert McNary peoplemedicine.info/about-the-author/ is an erstwhile physician who learned more about health and healing after he left medicine than during his twenty years in training and working in the field. Healing is as big as life itself. Medicine is a small but vital part of the larger world of healing. However, most healing, like life, occurs away from the hospital and doctors’ offices. We ALL need to become more conscious and active in the work of healing.
Dr. Bob has not practiced medicine for decades but considers himself more a doctor now than when he wore a white coat. Doctor originally meant Teacher, and teaching doctors are sorely needed so that the People can recover Medicine and Healing. Dr. Bob believes a new/old paradigm of healing must arise in the near time to complement and supplement physician-oriented, technological, business-based medicine. That broad form of healing will combine community consciousness and the gift of healing hands. Everyone’s!
Robert has written a number of books, most notably Baby Doctor and PHENOMENON: 13 Lives of the Millennium Man. He is presently working on a series of books on a universal healing method practiced in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has important lessons for the present day. When not writing or researching, Bob spends his life walking the country and discovering extraordinary people and places.

Doctor Anton Mesmer is alive and well, even though he passed from his body two hundred years ago.His place in history is secure while his teachings continue to have lasting effects. While the whole truth will never be known, there is no dispute that Mesmer influences us in many ways into the 21st century. If only we could count the ways. Here are a few:
• Mesmer is one of a very few humans whose name has become part of the standard dictionary – as in the verb mesmerize and in the noun mesmerism. This, albeit the true meanings of the words have been bowlderized. [Look that one up.] Mesmerize is a word much in public parlance in the present time. We might wonder why.

Dear Friends of Virtuosity
Thank you for your support, interest, business and friendship during the year 2019. For us it had been a very happy, successful and moving year. We look back to it with gratitude.
We wish all of our valued clients, friends and silent supporters happiness, fulfillment and spiritual vigilance.
“….We are moved of various thoughts as one year passes and a new one begins. Not least is the consuming apprehension concerning earthly matters.
But this is not the concern that is meant here. It should be minor compared with that concern that is turned towards spiritual advancement and willing obedience to the Natural Laws of God.
Only this aim can form the basis of genuine concern, which is far removed from the concept of those anxieties that are related only to wealth and possessions, or physical well-being, worries which today oppress mankind and often torment them to the point of despair.
And yet man is able to smash with a single blow the tangle of grey earthly anxieties if, just for a matter of seconds, concern for his spiritual development were to impart that vigilance which instantly finds a way out of dull despair to the height of an existence worthy of man, free of tormenting anxieties about everyday needs and the constricting pressure which the tie with material substance exerts on the spirit of man.
Only he who is spiritually concerned is also spiritually vigilant! A man who is vigilant in spirit cannot be weighed down too much by everyday cares, or even dominated by them.
Spiritual concern has nothing oppressive about it, but is free of all the distorted concepts with which the human race has debased the true meaning of the word “concern”.
The intellect has supplanted concern for spiritual well-being with the brooding concern for material things. This has now grown to such a monstrous size through homogenous currents that it restricts and holds mankind captive completely.
For the human spirit dwelling in the Worlds of Matter, there is the ever-present danger of spiritual indolence. It is therefore a matter of necessity for him to be vigilant and to remain vigilant to a greater extent while away from his spiritual home.
But external influences and impressions alone are not enough to keep him inwardly vigilant, to stimulate, or eventually to rouse him from his onset of spiritual slumber.
There must also be the concern from within, to be willing to receive and turn to good account spiritual power influences, with the object of remaining constantly vigilant.
A man who closes himself to these processes is not concerned about advancing spiritually, because for this he needs spiritual power as urgently as daily nourishment for his body on earth.
Neither is such a human being then vigilant about absorbing and assimilating only good impressions, but in his indolence surrenders to bad currents which make him discontented and sullen, if they do not even fill him with envy and hatred.
Against this there is only one protection: constant vigilance of the spirit.
Where there is vigilance, where faithful spiritual watch is kept, be it in the higher and highest spheres or down here on earth, there is the highest vitality, there also lives the concern to further development and for swinging solely in the Will of God, never evading It, or disregarding It by the slightest thought.
Where true vigilance reigns there is joyful activity, happy fulfilment, constant readiness to do the good deed at any moment, wherever it may be, readiness to oppose evil, and unconditionally devoting the whole personality to the Light!
This is helpful by that concern which leads to alertness, which does not allow the spirit to become lax and to fall asleep – the true concern!
The most important problem facing mankind at the present time is undoubtedly the problem of voluntary spiritual indolence, linked with physical comfort!
Psychologists today speak frankly of the decline in spiritual abilities, of an “inflation” that pertains not the economy but to the psyche. The comfort which has arisen through over-cultivated affluence and through complete domination by technology was one of the great dangers to the spiritual development of mankind.
But what emerges from this for the present and future is accordingly real concern for the awakening of the spirit out of its dangerous twilight sleep. “(Adapted from Herbert Vollmann, A Gate Opens, Stiftung Gralsbotschaft Publishing Company, Stuttgart)
Three years ago we met with a Swiss couple with two young children, aged 5 and 7. We spend a lovely afternoon with the family visiting a nature reserve on the Mornington Peninsula. The children seemed to be fond of me and wanted to spend a lot of time interacting with me.
Fairy ring. R. Doyle
So while we walked through a forest, one of the kids, the youngest, took my hands and started to chat about the nature beings. She told me that she could see people who have already died and also little beings of nature. She described them to me and kept on talking about her experiences and also described one of the nature beings she saw in the forest we were walking in. When we sat down at a nice coffee shop, I asked their mother about it, and she confirmed that both of the children since a young age were able to communicate and see departed souls and also nature beings.
Now as I experience a lot of help from the nature beings in biomagnetic healing sessions, I feel very much urged to talk about them here to you as I feel grateful for their support and also friendship. (In the accredited Practitioner training we will also occupy ourselves more with it, how it relates to Healing Magnetism etc). Yes, I have made several personal experiences over the years.
Now when for you, nature beings are something really out of this world, unreal or in the category of fantasy, I might try to bring you somewhat nearer to them with the following considerations.
Are nature beings real? Most people ask themselves the question. Do they exist, the elemental beings like elf-munchies, gnomes, mermaids, undines, sylphs, fire elemental beings and others?
It is striking that in the vocabulary of almost all languages names for natural beings occur uniformly and that they are everywhere divided into earth, water, air, and fire beings. The encounters with these creatures described in fairy tales and narrations are basically so similar to one another that one must either assume that the narrators have agreed to meet each other over time and continents, or else they describe what they have experienced with such beings and it did not spring from a moody imagination but are real experience, a fact and these beings exist!
Left Kate Greenaway. The elf ring.
Just in the last days, a few paintings of an artist with the name This Pixie O'Harris was discovered in an old storeroom in the Manning Base Hospital according to ABC News.
In some of her pictures we can for example clearly see a variety of nature beings interacting with children. In the ABC article, we can read: Pixie O'Harris was born in 1903 and came to Australia from Wales with her family in 1920.
She became a much-loved writer and illustrator off a great number of famous children’s stories. ”Its hard not to be enchanted by her colourful, whimsical images, and fantasy characters, which many people will remember from childhood.”
Another lady said: "I sort of think of them as a Where's Wally painting, because there's so many little elves and fairies and babies hiding in the bushes and the trees and the hollows," Ms Roberts.
And other voices were: “They are whimsical, they usually have children in them, and wildlife.” “I think that’s why kids of today still love these paintings; they can relate to them and pick out little things we don’t notice as adults.”
Now perhaps the author of this article describes the little characters as fantasy whereas who knows perhaps the artist Pixie O'Harris was able to see these beings or feel them, like many other seers and children worldwide.
Also, other artists painted nature beings according to their skills or personality and perception.
There are also many artists from different countries of the world and also seers from the past or present from all parts of the world who offer explanations about these beings.
Left: The spirit of the Komachi Cherry Tree. Yoshitoshi.
Beyond that, objective descriptions of the past and present from all parts of the world are available to us, which report in the same way about these elemental beings. Such striking congruence can no longer be ascribed to blind chance. If there are beings of nature, then they have a task for creation, like everything in it. A task that is indispensable to the whole, without which something important would be missing. If so, then it cannot and may not be indifferent to us humans, whether we know about it or not.
How and where do we receive confirmation of the existence of these nature beings? Let's look first in the literature that is accessible to all of us.
There are many people who know about the book of the successful Swedish doctor Axel Munthe, which belongs to the world literature and is called: “The story of San Michelle.”
In the book, the doctor describes how he met a little elf as a young man in a remote house in Lapland. In the foreword, Axel Munthe writes: "It seems to me that there are fewer pixies in our world today than when I was a child, but I cannot believe that a reader of the chapter on Lapland in this book could have the brow to deny that it was a really well-intended pixie who was sitting on the table in Forstugen and carefully plucked at my watch chain. Of course it was a real pixie, who else could it have been? I tell you, I saw him with both of my eyes when I was sitting in bed .... I'm told there are even people who have never seen a pixie in their lives. I really feel sorry for such people, they missed a lot! I think they have to be short-sighted. Maybe they have tired their eyes due to too much reading in school .....
Today's people waste too much time listening to other people's speeches and thoughts. It would be much better if they took more rest to listen to their own thoughts. We can learn knowledge from others, the wisdom we have to teach ourselves. The fountain of wisdom springs from our own ground in the silent depths of our lonely thoughts and dreams. "
Axel Munthe is not the only person to be taken seriously who speaks of nature beings, many others we have to look at just as objectively as him. It is always people who have been able to maintain enough purity of inner character to keep in touch with, sometimes even to see and hear, and to interact with nature's beings.
It must be left to the reader ascertain their knowledge of the elemental beings in literature, for example in the works of Goethe, Shakespeare or other writers, or to discover this knowledge through other thinkers, for example the great physician Paracelsus, in whose teachings the natural beings play an important role.
Also, Conan Doyle, the well-known English crime novelist with the main character of Sherlock Holmes, describes in his book "The Coming of the Fairies", speaking with scientific alertness of the nature beings. He succeeds convincingly in proving the existence of the elementals.
In fact, even in our technological world, besides adults still many children can see these nature beings. Unfortunately, in most cases, the parents who are confronted with the allusions and behaviour of the children give them no understanding. What is often taken away from the children by the wrong behaviour of the adults, and what is denied to them by the ignorance of all things that go beyond the needs of everyday life! For the sake of our children alone, we should do our utmost to get closer to the recognition of the truth, even in regard to the nature beings.
To the materialistically, supposedly factually and soberly thinking, but actually inwardly poor people, the portrayals of all extra-terrestrial life seem fantastic, unnecessary to the world. But this is an infallible sign that these people do not even know their own material world, which seems to really exist for them; because how many fantastic things are there to discover! Every life and development process in nature must address us in this direction. But it is precisely in the observation of nature that we are compelled to endeavour to look behind the gross material scenes if we want to understand what is there. Looking does not necessarily mean here to be clairvoyant; it is also sufficient to inwardly comprehend, to acknowledge extraordinary things and events. However, there are reports of clairvoyant people and these can be of the highest value for us. But as I said, many present-day people do not pay attention to what is offered to them by the seer. They have the point of view: What we do not see for ourselves does not exist for us.
But this attitude is very superficial. With a single example, the inconvenience inherent in it can be illustrated: for example, consider the high-frequency waves of a radio station. They are neither to be seen nor to grasp or to hear. Are they not still existing anyway? The materialist will argue that we do not see the radio waves, but the receiver picks them up, changes them, and we can hear them. That's why he believes in its existence. Well, here we come closer to the facts. Today, the materialist would no longer be able to deny these waves, because in the meantime they can be registered by fine instruments. Perhaps there will be even finer gauges in the future, e.g., Thought forces can already be measured and proven.
There is no need to have too much ability to combine facts to imagine that some of the most sensitive or one could even say, gifted people, can perceive things that are hidden from others who do not possess that sensibility. It is by no means correct to say; “What I can not see or otherwise perceive directly, that does not exist”. Some doubters will not be content with this explanation. He will say to himself: "Seeing," for example, man can see only with his earthly eyes, and these are physiologically so similar to each other in all humans, that there can hardly be any differences. In reality, there are big differences. Any ophthalmologist can confirm that. The study of colour blindness alone has shown that virtually every human being has his own "palette of colours" in himself. Moreover, the eye is only an instrument given for earthly purposes, which stands in the service of the "actual ability to see." This "real seeing" is a capacity of the soul of man. Every human being can experience it himself when he dreams. In the dream, man sees, even if his earthly eyes are closed. However, in sleep, man does not see physical things, but things of the extra-terrestrial, even if they are only creations of his own world of thought, which also represents a form of reality, like the earthly.
Why should it not be possible for some people to have the ability to look into the other world while they are awake? Granted, we have to be careful when we get descriptions of otherworldly things so as not to fall victim to mistakes. We must preserve our critical mind, we must examine carefully, we must weigh whether there is an agreement with our own intuitive sense of truth. This capacity of deep intuitive perception is beyond earthly understanding, not subject to its limitations, for it is not bound to the material brain, the earthly intellect, but to the spirit, our true self. We need to be awake to see if we are dealing with real experiences in such portrayals, or if irresponsible charlatanry is pursued for obvious reasons. The more we have preserved a real sense of deep intuitive perception, the safer we will be able to judge here.
In earlier times, the normal human vision was more extensive than it is today. The increasingly far-reaching abandonment of people from life and from nature has obviously not been without consequences here as well. The genuine natural peoples, which still exist today, have the finer kind of sight and thus the conscious connection with the natural forces and natural beings partially preserved, as it was once even with today's advanced people in their early days. At that time it was still possible that the intuitive bridges to the beings were open and worked. Also in the field of physical healing, humans have been able to receive the instructions of these beings. The large European, nature-loving people the Greeks, Romans, -Germans, therefore, had, like many other unspoiled nations in their bloom time, great knowledge of the nature beings and the natural forces. These were happy times for them. Their knowledge was real and alive, it filled their heart and spirit and their actions, it was also an integral part of their religions.
With the increasing power of these people and the concomitant life in the cities, the closeness to nature was initially lost among the city dwellers.
Instead, materialism grew, and many of the initially healthy rules of life degenerated. Gradually, the still healthy life in the countryside was pulled onto the same path. As a result of the ever-stronger unilateral penetration of all spheres of life with the earthly intellect, people have lost the ability to perceive with the deep intuitive processes which are attributed to the soul/spirit. Thus, the initially existing bond with nature was lost more and more and with it the knowledge of the nature beings.
The decisive influence that banished the existence of nature beings from the thinking of the people of Europe or some overseas territories, however, strange as it may sound, was the spreading of Christianity. A too narrowly conceived Christian doctrine forbade the belief in the natural beings, called these beings as non-existent or as belonging to the underworld, to hell.
This development had a particularly tragic effect in the Germanic regions, where at the time of Christianisation, for the most part, there were still healthy circumstances: here people still had a genuine connection with nature. This connection was destroyed by those who believed that they had to spread Christianity with the sword, as was often the case. This basically unchristian approach was resisted by entire sections of the people because they wanted to stay connected with what they perceived as their living knowledge of the natural forces. This knowledge, however, was systematically and violently crushed as a misconception and idolatry rather than as a sound foundation for true Christian faith. Here nevertheless, most of the Christians themselves lacked knowledge. Rome, the starting point of the Christianization of Western Europe, was at that time already a nature-alienating, thinking only on the earth-bound level, city.
The shattering of the belief in the nature beings was certainly not in the sense of Jesus. He may have transmitted some of his knowledge to his disciples, but it was not recorded. The fact that it was known, however, is shown by artistic representations in Christian churches in Asia, depicting nature beings with Jesus.
Many a Christian missionaries who come today to natural people to bring the faith in the one true God, has to shyly realize his ignorance of many of the knowledge that the peoples of nature still possess, and it is not surprising that some of these missionaries begin to doubt the faith content of the Christian doctrine, as conveyed to them. At least they recognize its incompleteness and sense the need to incorporate the knowledge of the natural forces in the Christian doctrine which is still preserved in the natural population; for only then, they feel, can they claim to be the religion of comprehensive truth.
This process of the necessary extension and addition of the knowledge of creation is presently taking place. The humanity of the present is given as never before an opportunity to achieve a comprehensive, well-rounded world view. Not only because today the world is actually open to every human being and it is only up to him to seize the opportunity to find and absorb all the truths that are among the many developed nations, but it is also for us humans promised that the spirit of truth will guide us into all truth.
It would be very interesting to elaborate on the many accounts of the encounters with natural beings, as here we can also draw conclusions about their nature and task in creation.
We have to confine ourselves here to a few examples; for example, that the mountain gnomes help the shepherds look after the cattle, show them places that are not soaked in thunderstorms, and show them the way through the fog. Something I have by the way experienced multiple times during walks in the mountains of Austria, when I got lost and ended there at night or lost my path in the forest. Mountain gnomes give also the right time for the raising and aborting of the cattle, give the farmers hints when and where they should grow and sow and still do some other assistance. Those who follow their advice will be rewarded by rich harvest and health of pets. But those who disobey their instructions and act idiosyncratically spoil the harvest with frost, bad weather, miscarriage or damage, and diseases infest the livestock. In the Mountain hats we find such beings as "house spirits". For example, the so-called Kasermandl (Cheese gnome see left image) lives on the Tyrolean Alpine huts.
We learn from gnomes in the garden, house and apartment. Conversations with seers testify that such household spirits are more than suspected, helping people - usually unconsciously - in a variety of ways.
Also from elemental beings which help people in healing professions has been reported and I have also personally experienced a lot here. I explain more in the internationally accredited Training in Healing Magnetism with Hands about that.
I've been told that the colourful garden gnomes, sometimes set up in gardens, look similar in appearance to the real garden gnome. Perhaps those who first designed them could resort to portrayals of the seer or see them for themselves.
Carl Spitzwegerich. Gnome Eisenbahn betrachtend.Above image.
Such a gnome I also have seen in the mountains when a small group of them warned me from impending danger.
Also widely used is the knowledge of mountain spirits underground. Again and again, there are among the mountain men, the "buddies", who have the gift to see these gnomes familiar with the rock and earth and they understand their warnings and advice. They provide people with valuable services and can save them from accidents. Anyone who studies reports about the experiences of miners, who have been saved after several days of imprisonment in collapsed tunnels, will find again and again that some of these miners saw appearances of bright figures who came to help and comfort them.
I also had a personal experience here when I made a dangerous mountain hike with a small group of women. We came off the right track and had to work our way up a dangerous stony hill using a lot of effort. I was very scared and had the feeling of fainting in a moment. When I asked for help in prayer, a small mountain creature appeared above me at the bush I was hanging on. It gave me the courage and I had the feeling it also gave me strength. By the way, the nature being I saw on that day seemed to stay with me, all the time for the next 9 hours when we searched for a way back. It encouraged me when we had to go narrow paths which fell steeply into the valley at one side. I had incredible fear of heights at the time and usually I have avoided such walks and we only had to walk this path because we took the wrong turn. Even when the sun went down and it was night in the forest, it was in places really pitch black dark, it was as if the nature being was giving me advice where to put my feet. Also it was holding to me a small light so I could see where to safely put my next step.
This was not my only experience, but the nature beings also saved my life in a different situation when they warned me and helped me as a dangerous man pursued me and then wanted to attack and kill me during a walk in a dense forest. Here they have saved my life with warnings and advice on how to escape this horrible situation.
But let’s return to the so-called mountain spirits which were seen by the miners. Most of the time, these phenomena are interpreted as the effects of overstretched nerves in those who are in great anxiety, but in fact the people who wait in the dark with their bodies weakened and often praying to God open themselves inwardly and are then able, as it was, with their Soul's eyes to look beyond the material.
From the flower-elves, that look brightly coloured like butterflies, possessing perfectly beautiful female forms, wrapped in gossamer, delicately veiled, we are told that they look after the flowers, support their growth in supplying them with radiation. The caretakers of shrubs and trees, of the earth and of the rocks, on the contrary, appear in masculine forms according to their coarser work.
Furthermore, we hear about, water, air and so-called fire beings that are described to us, such as the king of the storm spirits called Ariel in Shakespeare's play "The Storm", the lovely mermaids of the springs and waters or the salamander that are attached to the fire. The so-called spring deities, who show themselves to the beholders in perfectly beautiful female figures, are a higher kind of natural being. They are known by almost all peoples, not only the Greek, Roman and Germanic but also earlier; but they also can be seen sometimes by pure, nature-loving people of the present. Through the beauty of their appearance, they have deeply impressed all the people who have become aware of them, and because of this, and because of their kindly, helpful, and even miraculous nature, they have been repeatedly labelled as coming from divinity, which in reality is not their nature.
Anyone who follows the history of the apparition of Lourdes and the like of modern times can see the parallels to the gods of the early days. Since according to previous Christian doctrine natural beings do not exist, such visions were usually interpreted as appearances of the mother of Jesus.
Salomon, the great king of the Jews, known for his wisdom, warned his contemporaries against paying divine reverence to these beings. He had a great knowledge of creation and knew of the existence of these moulded natural forces. In Judaism it was known as fact. All religions that build on the ancient knowledge of Judaism would therefore also need to incorporate this knowledge of the natural beings into their teaching. It can only round off and consolidate it.
The examples, descriptions and considerations mentioned here will give a critical, so objective-minded reader food for thought and bring him closer to the idea that natural beings actually exist. But these indications are not intended to be a proof that alone leads to the conviction of their existence. Every human being bears in his innermost heart a firm knowledge of all processes of a non-gross nature which belong to his species as spirits. This includes knowledge about nature beings. This hidden knowledge often rises up in us, as already suggested, as an idea of unknown origin, which can be awakened in one way or another. These expositions should contribute to exposing the hunches one has about the nature beings, in order to transform them into conscious knowledge.
But what should we humans of the present time do with this knowledge? This may be said to have been good and necessary for nature people here and there. But today we have such fine instruments, so sophisticated a science and technology, we no longer need the help of gnomes or elves and similar beings. We have our observation stations, we penetrate with our instruments deeper and deeper into space. Why all this? In spite of all progress, have we not been a thousand times dependent on nature? We read and hear again and again of devastating storms, heat and cold waves, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other so-called natural disasters that inflict great harm on those affected, without the modern man being able to do anything decisive against it.
When my son was little I told him now and then the true story of a boy who ate poisonous berries in the forest. Although the forest elemental beings have warned the boy, he ate the berries and he became very seriously ill. The mother found him and was desperate because they lived very far away from the next doctor and at that time there was no phone or car available for some reason. So the mother prayed for help and a little elf appeared and showed her the way to a healing plant. He also showed the mother how to prepare the plant for the child and the kid recovered quickly. With all respect for the modern medical achievements, but would it not be sometimes helpful for the sufferers to also ask additional help from these helping beings? How often is modern medicine despite their achievements not able to help the sufferers?
The flight of birds over the oceans and continents, which continues to astonish us, humans, becomes understandable when we learn that the birds are cared for and guided by nature beings during their flight. What we call instinct is largely due to the direct influence of the nature beings on the animals.
But it is also given to us modern humans to connect with nature beings. Many a car accident or a plane crash, many a ship disaster, many a harmful consequence of intended criminal acts could be avoided if we were to listen to the warning of the nature beings. They know more than we do because they themselves work within the natural forces and laws and therefore know the effect and course of natural events
Those who pay attention and observe in this direction in their own sphere of life will find much of the activity of nature beings. His own experience will then give him living knowledge and certainty and inexhaustible conviction that nature beings exist and they are reliable helpers for us humans.
Nature beings are an integral part of our whole existence here on earth and also can help us to understand where life comes from.
Where does life come from?
A reflection on the emergence and evolution of life on earth.
Many scientists of the present attribute the existence of the cosmos that is the material world, back to the so-called Big Bang. The starting point of this big bang is said to have been a comparatively small, indescribably dense something. Where this came from, what it was made of and why it spread remains unanswered. The world and, consequently, all material matter has been apparently created by a tremendous explosion. Furthermore, many scientists suspect that the diverse life that is shown on Earth, over the millions of years of inanimate matter arose independently.
These assumptions are mentioned here to show that even official science, without what we humans call miracles, does not manage to come to terms with their theories, without believing in a miracle, belief is to accept that the countless living beings existing on earth, whether it be plants, animals or even humans, they would have formed independently in matter from out of themselves and by chance. Even if one grants the development of life on earth a period of many millions of years, the entrance into the miraculous remains unchanged.
But now to the question of how life on earth did arise. For a long time, in the culture of the Western world, the description of Moses concerning the process of creation (Genesis) was an explanation for the origin of life on earth. In the course of the Enlightenment in the 17th and 18th centuries, this view was severely shattered and instead of it the doctrine of evolution, the slow development of living things, was accepted. There are many logical arguments for this view. Hardly anyone today doubts that the plant and animal kingdom on earth, from many millions of years ago, has evolved from simple creatures step by step to ever higher species. To some extent as a result of this development, man also entered the earth plane as the crown of development.
Earth, once a glowing fireball, provided the ground for the formation of earthly creatures after its cooling. However, how the transition from lifeless to the animated matter has taken place, many researchers are currently trying to solve these riddles without having found a clear answer about it yet. Some speculate that in a mixture of different substances, with the additional influence of some force (electricity), organic molecules have formed, which are grouped together as the first primitive living beings, from which all other living beings developed. This process was unique and will probably never be repeated. However, since even the most primitive of today's living beings have a highly complicated body and are also endowed with the ability to orient themselves, to react, to nourish and to procreate, there is still a huge gap of the unknown about the bridge of mere matter and living beings and science has not yet build that bridge.
Another aspect makes us think. There is no living thing on earth that lives forever. If the first living things were made of material atoms and molecules independently, of building elements that are absolutely stable, then why should living matter, that is, earthly life, which would be, so to speak, only a special state of dead matter, be so short-lived? Is not rather the idea that the life forces of plants and the invisible soul forces of animals and humans merely connect with the material matter and then with dying detach again from matter, leaving it lifeless, more logical?
But, are there really those vital forces or souls that one cannot see with the earthly eyes and otherwise cannot grasp with material means? So many people still wonder today, even though there are countless examples that testify for that. For example, souls of deceased humans - the most highly evolved creatures on earth – can make themselves perceivable in the earthly.
If, as has been proved many thousands of times, there are manifestations of souls of dead people, then there must be a life where they are. We must, therefore, ask ourselves if we can even research the origin of life on earth without taking into account the life in other realms of existence. For those who know about these things reasonably, it is certain that the earthly life has actually not originated from material matter, but that it exists beyond the material and only temporarily connects with the material. In animals and humans, therefore, real-life exists only in souls. They are just robed souls that are - invisibly material - invisible to our bodily eyes. This also explains logically why the gross bodies fall lifelessly off when the souls separate from them. What we call death occurs only for the material bodies, not for the souls.
Reflection: What are your thoughts about that?
There is a difference to plants, since here we cannot speak of souls in them, but of invisible (astral) role models. In the light of all this, it must be taken into account that there is a gap that cannot easily be bridged between that which can be grasped by the bodily sense organs, that is, the terrestrial sphere of life, and the otherworldly sphere of life owing to their very different nature. To bridge this requires an instrument, a transformer, a mediator. In the case of declarations of deceased people, that is to say, of human souls, a so-called "medium" is required - a person who has the ability to form the bridge between the two different realms of existence.
Even in the case of the normal life of the earthly creatures, a bridge must exist between the respective life or soul forces and the plant, animal or human bodies so that they can invigorate and move the bodies. In this case, the contact takes place in the cells of living beings. In addition to their many functions, the cells also serve as mediators between the different realms of existence. The biological cell structure had to be built first before the invigorating forces could manifest in the earthly. This structure was built by the activity by for us wonderful appearing beings.
Many present-day scientists are reluctant to include the possibility of the existence of other spheres of life in their deliberations. They worry they would fall behind into medieval superstitions and therefore close themselves off to all appearances and descriptions that point to the survival of the human soul beyond earthly life. But progress can only be achieved by open-mindedness to all phenomena, and advanced scientists are therefore increasingly exploring extraterrestrial areas in their research.
To clarify the above, the following picture serves us to understand it better. Imagine a bunch of bricks to build a pretty house. If we could not see the builders, building master, and architects, we would get the impression that the bricks would automatically move to their designated place. However, we would then have to attribute to the building blocks wonderful abilities for which we would otherwise find no logical explanation. In the formation of plant and animal bodies, people have the correct idea that these bodies are formed from parts of the surrounding solid and gaseous matter. The extraction of the components that is the atoms and molecules, from the environment and their insertion in the right place of the body takes place in a wonderful way; just as we would have to imagine the construction of a house if the builders were invisible to us. - But we know that a house cannot come about without the activity of builders, and it is only logical to think that also the bodies of the living beings are not built without "builders". However, in this case, these are builders that we humans normally cannot perceive. This is explained by the fact that our bodily senses are subject to great restrictions. So we cannot even see the light that is shorter-waved than purple and longer-waved than red; to give just one example of how little we can directly perceive of the things that surround us and of their existence, with our physical senses. And how much unknown is there for us humans of the present still? But there are people with special abilities who can help us here.
Before we go into that, let's talk about a discovery that modern biology made years ago, and which makes them believe that they have come closer to the understanding of the mystery of life. It is the study of so-called DNA molecules which is found in the chromosomes and here in the nuclei of every cell in a living being. These DNA molecules are considered by the biologists as the actual carriers of genetic factors. In fact, every species of animal or plant has its own typical configuration of this spiral-shaped molecule consisting of many thousands of atoms, which also has the property of being able to divide and complement one another so that the molecular structure of the two newly formed molecules after splitting is exactly the same as that of the original molecule. As a result, the biologists conclude, that hereby the typical species of the individual organism is preserved and able to reproduce. They also believe that these molecules contain not only the information concerning the body, but also those that determine the whole being of the living beings, and also contain all the ancestral experiences that it contains. The very fact that cells of one and the same organism form different cell types according to the different parts of the body despite the same DNA molecules as they divide further leads to the assumption of literally fantastic abilities, which are supposed to be hidden in these molecules. It is indeed the whole life interpreted into it. Researchers who close themselves off to extra-terrestrial ideas about life are of necessity forced to look for the origin of life only in the material realm.
Before we go into more detail about the origin of life on earth from a non-material point of view, another consideration should be made. Suppose we come to a remote area of the world with a battery-powered wireless radio and the people living there have no idea of modern civilization. If music sounds out of our radio, then these people will assume that the music is coming from the wireless box. This is true in a sense. In any case, our naturals would not know that the device that is in front of them is only a mediator and that the real origin of the music is somewhere else. It would not be surprising if these people were preparing to disassemble the apparatus in order to track down the music. However, with the same lack of success, the researchers experience that they cannot track life if they wanted to dissect and analyze the DNA molecules. For just as the music is not really produced in the radio, but merely mediated by it, transmitted through invisible radio waves, so is the gross body of a living being, its cells, and all that belongs to it, not the cause of life, but only animated instrument. However, the DNA molecules carrying the genetic information appear to play an important role in such a way that they act like the vibrational circuit tuning mechanism of a wireless device. There, the frequency of the receiver is set to the frequency of a transmitter in order to ensure that the vibration circuit of the radio is in resonance with the vibration circuit of the transmitter. This is the prerequisite to be able to receive the program. The DNA molecules apparently perform a similar function. In order to get the whole organism of a living being in harmony with the invisible life transmitter, all the cells of it must vibrate harmoniously with it. In fact, they all contain, despite their other differences, exactly the same DNA molecule in their nuclei. Now here you slowly also can guess the great significance of a harmonious BioMagnetic field. Blockages in the BioMagnetic field that hinder the harmonious vibration of cells will block the connection to the invisible life transmitter. The information does not flow and the cell structure becomes distorted.
The observation that in cell division the DNA molecules in the daughter cells complement each other in such a way that they each have exactly the same structure and thus vibrate at the same frequency as the mother cell, was very important. But not because the DNA molecules have stored information for the living being like a computer, but rather because they produce the finely graded contact to a transmitter in the beyond. Now one can imagine that living souls are also such transmitters, and if the DNA molecule is exactly tuned to the vibration (radiation) of the soul, a complete vibrating together can result through harmony and it leads to full contact and full animation. It is also easy to imagine that these soul transmitters resonate with an even more powerful transmitter that controls these types of living beings. This applies to animals and humans. With plants, one has to speak of essential forces instead of soul powers.
With these introductory reflections, we have approached the announced statement about the origin of life on earth. Therefore, it is certainly correct to imagine that life on earth did not originate from material matter, but that it already existed beyond the materiality and under certain conditions merely connects with the materiality and thereby becomes effective in it. The following are further considerations: The next world to the material world (nearest), the neighbourly otherworldly plane is called by spiritual researchers the astral plane. We also want to use this expression and we talked about it before in the previous parts. In this astral plane are contained all life forms that we find on earth - from the simplest to the highest living being, even in their various stages of development and growth. The plants and animals are divided into quite specific species. There is no wild chaos, but the species are clearly defined. On earth, only those plants and animals can develop and reproduce, for which exist in the astral plane the role models. Only from these can they get the power for their material emergence and existence. The man-made, wantonly crosses of different species soon fall back into their original species, if they have no otherworldly role model. They are comparable to the simultaneous reception of radio broadcasts from different stations.
For the establishment and maintenance of the contact between the life of the astral plane and the terrestrial-material, the DNA molecules, as stated above, have an important function. Every creature corresponds to a certain DNA molecule. But not every chemically possible DNA molecule structure has on the astral level a life transmitter available. Changes in the structure of the DNA molecules can only result in permanent new species if parallel to this in the astral level such a type of living organism already exists or was formed (without transmitter no reception).
In addition, it should be mentioned here that the most primitive organisms, such as blue-green algae and certain bacteria, contain no cell nuclei and consequently no DNA molecules. Instead, in their so-called Centro plasma, they contain DNA-containing structures that appear to be able to take over the function of DNA molecules. The development of the earthly life forms thus starts from the astral plane. It is steered and directed from there, whereby beyond the human earthly eyes invisible entities are busily at work. Earthlings in interaction with these entities can - albeit often only unconsciously - cause the emergence of new varieties. It comes then to new variation. In domestic animals, especially noticeable in dogs with their many breeds, the human influence is strongly noticeable. Also in the further development of flowers, fruits and garden crops. Consciously pursued selection in the cultivation of new variants, however, can significantly support this process.
Here, the often very strong desire of the breeders for the realization of an ideal role model plays an important part. Part of the breeding process does not take place in the gross-material but in the astral plane. Man has creative abilities and thus influence on his environment, also - and especially on the sphere that is hidden to earthly eyes. This influence not only affects the constructive sense but can also have a negative impact, namely, when people indulge in evil desires. The forces badly directed by humans cause the creation of harmful bacteria, viruses, vermin and other "pests" of humans. These are not creations of God in the true sense of the word but merely arise on the basis of man's free decision to act, to think and to feel according to the creator's will or not (free will). These "pest ghosts" are therefore only allowed by the neutral Creation-force.
In this context, it is essential to know that the contact of life forces with "dead" material matter did not only happen once in earlier geological eras but still occurs today in the same pattern. Here, not primitive life substances are built, but finished species are formed. But not whole living beings are transferred from the astral plane into the gross earthly matter, but only their germs (spores, seeds, eggs). That is, they are built according to astral models with gross atoms and atomic groups. The further growth of these germs occurs in the same way as if they had originated in a mother plant or in a mother animal. Here we refer to viruses, bacteria, algae, and certain plants and small animals that continuously come about through "spontaneous abiogenesis." Such that have existed on Earth for a long time and also new ones. When new pathogens (bacteria, viruses) are caused, the hidden process becomes apparent. Proof of spontaneous abiogenesis is difficult to produce because, in scientific experiments with the sterilization of air, water, and solid substances, the starting materials are changed so that the process of contacting the vital forces with the earthly substance is strongly limited.
With the transmission of the germ of a living being, at the same time, the entire life-system of this living being is transferred from the astral plane to the earthly. Only if we take this into consideration can we logically imagine the emergence and development of the various living beings on earth?
Underlying even the most primitive of living creatures are great concepts of body structure and functions of the body in terms of nutrition and reproduction, as well as surprisingly functional behaviours, especially with regard to defending against enemies, that even the most ingenious and well-educated man in all-natural sciences could not conceive it more fully. In each case, the whole life system is transferred from the astral plane to the earthly.
In this regard, who can seriously believe that the living beings of the earth with such detail and in their totality should have come about independently from dead matter by chance of dead matter without planning and without the influence of orderly creative powers, and that lifeless atoms and atomic groups should suddenly have then also awakened to consciousness and joy of life?
In this context, it is mentioned that in Australian mine discoveries of fossilized biological cells were made, which could be dated back by accurate age determination to 3.2 billion years ago. The scientists were surprised to find that organic life was existing in such early Earth history, since it was suspected that much later the transition from lifeless to living matter had taken place, in a prehistoric broth of first lifeless organic-chemical substances. But no remains have been found of it. One will never find anything about it since the transition from inanimate to animated matter took place spontaneously and still takes place today.
The fossilization found in Australia comes from finished organisms that correspond to our current blue-green algae. These consist of cells without cell nuclei. The similarity of the algae growths of that time and today suggests that no transitional phase was necessary, but rather an immediate transfer from the astral plane to the earthly sphere took place. Such a transfer would also take place on some planet of another solar system if this planet has the necessary conditions. The same astral models would be available to them as they are on Earth today and 3.2 billion years ago.
In this context, the observation is worth mentioning that delicate, artistically built silica structures of living things, so-called radiolarians that are still in existence today, closely match with silica structures, which has been found in many millions of years old deposits. Time seems to stand still here. The observations described here can be supplemented by many more. The scientists who deal with what is presented here will make progress in researching the origin of life on earth. (See here, for example, Rupert Sheldrake). However, it is a condition that they incorporate non-material compositional areas into their deliberations. For the sake of completeness, it should be mentioned that some researchers suppose that life did not originated on earth, but elsewhere in cosmic space, and was merely transferred from there to the earth via comets and meteors and the like. This view does not solve the question of the origin of life but merely shifts it.
Let us return to the above explanations. Then a new kind of earthly creature emerges through the formation of a germ of this living being built from material atoms and groups of atoms, and that only when the living conditions are suitable for the earthly existence of this plant or animal. Therefore, certain organisms that have the least requirements for life prerequisites are transferred from the astral plane into the materiality of the earth first. These first form waste and thus food, which provide living conditions to other living species. Therefore, animals appear later on earth. If we assume that animal and plant bodies arise through the activity of conscious builders, then it is in line with a consistent notion that even the "primordial" germs are built up by the previously mentioned invisible beings. The further construction of plant and animal bodies is then accomplished again through the - "construction workers" - invisible to the earthly eyes of men. "Who else?" The idea of a self-contained migration of atoms and molecules to where they are needed lacks any logical thinking.
The first living things on Earth were, therefore, algae and lichens. Animal protozoa require organic substances for their nutrition, which were not present in the beginning. For the simplest algae, mineral substances are sufficient for their nutrition. Lichen, too, grows on weathered rocks and only need air, water, and sun to thrive. Lichen is a symbiosis of fungi and algae and, according to official science, is one of the most primitive plants.
Dead lichens form the basis for the development of equally good mosses, whereby again the germs of mosses (spores) are first assembled by invisible beings. These germs also develop as if they came from mother plants.
Dying mosses, in turn, form the basis for the emergence of higher plant species, which also develop from germs. These too are composed of invisible beings by replicating the models existing in the astral plane. In this way, step by step, higher and higher plant species develop. Seen in this light, the idea of the gradual evolution of living things on earth corresponds to reality. In mixtures of residues of dead plants, water and mud germs form, from which develop the first lower animals. First, single-celled organisms, which reproduce by division and feed on plant residues. These germs can, as already mentioned, also arise again and again by "spontaneous mutation," if the conditions are fulfilled. The spontaneous mutation does not happen automatically but is the result of the diligent activity of the natural beings. These are always at work, where (on earth) life manifests and develops.
In order to understand the process of spontaneous abiogenesis, it is only necessary to realize that the seed in a plant is not present in it at first, but is miraculously formed first from a cell. This formation must be regarded as an inconceivable process for any observer, as long as he does not know that there are forces (nature beings) consciously at work, which can form these seeds outside of the mother plant from certain mixtures, which are required for the emergence of initial seed. Once such a basic cell has been built - according to a model in the astral plane - then further development can take place until the seed is fully developed, just as in the mother plant. The building materials required for further development are taken from the substance mixture surrounding the basic cell. Therefore, the composition of the mixtures and the other conditions surrounding them for the coming about of spontaneous abiogenesis are of crucial importance. For example, it can be observed that lichens thrive only on weathered rocks, but not on freshly broken rocks. From this one can indirectly conclude how exactly the prerequisites must exist so that spontaneous abiogenesis occurs.
As with certain plants, so also in some animal egg cells where under certain conditions from very specific mixtures (plant remains, etc.) outside a mother animal according to the astral model, the nature builders can merge the animal egg. Once formed, these eggs can, if the appropriate nutrients are present, develop further - so be further developed, like the eggs in the ovaries of a mother animal. In higher (larger) plants and animals the spontaneous generation of new species takes place not outside of mother plants and mother animals, but in these, in such a way that in the fruit stand of the plant or in the ovary of the mother animal, instead of the germ of its own kind a germ of a variant of it is formed. Of course, and first, the DNA molecule is changed, whereby the oscillation circle is changed, and the germ gets in contact with the "life transmitter" of a similar, but a noticeably different kind. This change (leap) refers to science as mutations.
It is likely that mutations usually do not happen by chance, but that they are deliberately evoked by nature beings. So one can imagine the formation of plant and animal life after the astral model, as a step by step process. The human souls could anchor themselves in this way on the earth. Made possible by changes in the DNA molecule in fertilized eggs of human-like mother-animals, the contact between the earth's body and the human soul could be established. Since the development on earth did not happen by accident, but obviously follows a big plan purposefully, the DNA molecule changes in the ovules of human-like animals did not happen once in the same period, but several times, so that several human souls at the same time were anchored on the Earth plane. The people, who had moved onto the earth, sympathized with each other, joined together and thus formed the basis of the human race on earth.
The emergence and further development in the plant and animal kingdom was thus purposefully in the sense of higher leadership and is not the result of a coincidental development with the subsequent selection. Rather, the development results from the fact that individuals have the ability to adjust to changing environmental conditions - such as climate change and the like - to a certain extent. After their demise, each individual brings his experience and his adaptation results into a centre of souls, so that new individuals that are coming into earthly life from this centre, from the outset have a more or less large share of the experiences of their ancestors.
So much for the presentation of the emergence and development of life on earth.
In order to make the anchoring of life on earth clear and comprehensible, comparisons could be made in the present work, which offers themselves to us from the research and the progress of the present-day science. At the time of Moses, the DNA molecule had not been discovered yet, and there were still no radios and many other things. At that time, people relied more on introspection and intuition, though these were highly developed. Parables and symbolic images had to be used to explain some things. The people of those days, however, were generally more open-minded, more open-minded to otherworldly realities than they are today.
The knowledge of a hereafter, beyond the earthly, was pushed into the background by the intellectual reasoning, which had been gaining ground for centuries, and in some cases was completely lost, only to some extent preserved in the people. Also, the knowledge of the existence of the nature beings, which took in the pre-Christian era, large space in the recognition of the important role that these beings play in life on Earth, was not maintained. For example, the nature beings are degraded to figures of the fairy tales, the leading among them being called the devil and messengers of hell. A great spiritual vacuum developed in the wake of this, which enormously strengthened materialism on the whole front of human thought and action. It can be traced back to the fact that modern science today finds it very difficult to pave the way for a comprehensive world view because of this general approach to materialism. Only natural people have been able to retain knowledge about the personified forces of nature and to maintain a connection with these beings to a certain extent. These natural people (for example shamanic tribes etc. ) often arouse the astonishment of people caught in the intellectual, because they are capable, in harmony with the natural forces, of accomplishing things that seem unbelievable or even "impossible" to the materialistic intellectual. Here we can also think on Healing Magnetism with whatever name it is described as here a human being works together with animistic forces given from the beyond to affect the astral level in the needy.
The knowledge about the help we find from the otherworldly spheres is also known by the Healings of Christ. He used divine power to conduct healings, whereas human beings can use animistic force and spiritual power.
For us present-day people, therefore, a great rethinking is required. If we succeed in this rethinking, we will come to the realization that everything is much more magnificent and wonderful than we suspect since the so-called Enlightenment. The more we penetrate into the secrets of life, the more it becomes certain that not pure chance but a wise God created the universe and keeps all creation alive. In deep gratitude, to be able to live, fill our hearts. In the radiant joy of life, we will be able to create great things together with the forces of nature.
According to what is stated here, the answer to the question "Where does life come from?" is that life on our earth comes from the levels of creation that exist above the gross material levels. Life is transmitted to gross matter through biological vibration systems, whereby divisible DNA being important tools. In all life processes, such as the development of animal and plant life, their growth and their development, natural forces play an important role as "builders".
Since these "builders" are active in a higher level above the gross matter, in the so-called astral plane, they are not accessible to the gross material senses, and only the result of their activity, that is, the plants and animals and human bodies, can be ascertained via gross material means
Just as the earthly plant and animal world is a replica of the life existing in the astral plane, so too does the astral plane in the next higher plane have its models. So it goes up to the highest levels and finally into paradise, the starting point and the home of the human spirit.
For everyone who made the effort to read through the last part carefully will come now also to sensing why healing with the hands is so effective.
The messages of Christmas that we are bombarded with since more than a month, are not very uplifting.
When I open my Inbox it is filled up with reminders from companies to buy a Christmas outfit. New dress, new shoes, they tell me what I urgently need, although beforehand I was quite content without these items. Also every single day since about a month I get invitations to start organizing my Christmas presents for my loved ones. Often with a threatening tone that there is limited time to get these goods and if I miss out I might be unhappy forever. It seems as if every business wants now a piece of the X-mas money cake. All is offered to a special Christmas prize naturally.
With a sensation of mental overload I open up Netflix to escape for an hour the emptiness of material consumption. Yes, I want to get into the true spirit of Christmas.
I put ‘Christmas’ into the Search engine and wait eagerly for my inspiration and upliftment and here is what I am presented
Some of the titles are "Christmas inheritance", "Holiday secrets", "Christmas breakin" "Holiday Rush", "Holiday on the Wild" , "Elf" , "The Knight before Christmas", "Klaus", "Bad moms Christmas".....and so on.
I scroll through it and with an empty feeling of disgust I conclude that we are slowly losing the Messages of Christmas. I turn to my home and check what I can find in the many beautiful books I have in my bookshelves. Something will inspire me there.
Lost Messages of Christmas
In one of my bookshelves I find following article in a magazine for spiritual consciousness, written by Okey Ikechukwu. My heart warms up to find that there are still other people who also yearn for the true meaning of Christmas again.
Christmas! Remember the carols and inner, quiet joy. We would sing for hours, even after everyone had gone. There was such gladness in preparing for Christmas! As happy-go-lucky children we pranced about cheerfully without really being able to explain why. We were just happy and strangely expectant. It was as if we could do nothing wrong. Things that would ordinarily cause irritation or a quarrel were strangely easy to ignore or forgive, yet none of us could put a finger on the source of our joy. It was Christmas time and we were happy.
We took part in a Nativity drama as children, we put on a Christmas drama. Adults directed and supervised everything. They were rather fussy and demanding. Some of them did not even look happy. As children, we just did not understand adults at all. They seemed to find it difficult to do many simple things, especially the things that made people happy. We had always suspected that there was something fundamentally wrong with most adults.
Today we are the adults and the children may well be holding their breath as they observe all of us.
There are just a few weeks before this year’s Christmas and many families are preparing for the celebrations. It usually seizes some people like a fever but it is often a contrived and avoidable fever, directed at the wrong activities. Many shop owners are doing brisk business with the season’s supply of plastic Santa Claus and similar things.
Christmas greeting cards have flooded the market. Most of the cards talk about everything except the true meaning and purpose of Christmas. It is more popular to speak of ‘season’s greetings’ now. So is the reference to the harmattan season, winter, or to the climate and season in some unchartered regions of space? Should we not be talking about the significance of Christmas and using this season to rededicate ourselves to a spiritually uplifting life? That, after all, is the essence of the commemoration of the birth on earth of the Son of God. ‘Merry Christmas!’ many greeting cards scream out, and quite literally that is what many of us intend to do, have fun and make merry.
The inner adornment of the spirit before the Almighty is now replaced by our new earthly clothes. Tailors and boutiques take full advantage of this. Some harassed, impious husbands, frightened by the demands of the ‘season’, confront their wives:” Don’t you know that it is vanity which makes you think of new clothes. In any case remember the global economic meltdown and think of starving people all over the world”! So quarrels break out over preparations for Christmas, which have nothing to do with Christmas. No wonder we adults seem to have lost that joy we had as children.
We hear less and less of “Thy Will be done, O Lord” from believers each passing Christmas. There are endless demands instead. These demands are for wealth, job promotion, getting married and so on. Humility and the necessary quiet confidence in the Omnipotence of the Lord are missing.
The supplicants, metaphorically speaking, tap their feet impatiently for a quick solution to some problem before they present the next one! While waiting, they may be mentally planning to try another prayer house if their request is not forthcoming.
Say something about confidence in the providential guidance and omniscience of the Lord and you will hear that such talk is for children. The in-thing now, you will be told, is to demand it; or claim it, as they like to say. The book of Jeremiah may even be quoted: “The children of God shout for joy”. Ask them whether “children of God” is the same thing as “members of my assembly” and you will meet a blank and perplexed stare.
Today, it is a lot more difficult to find images, statuettes or models of the shepherds and the child in the manger. Or likely such is found against fifty Christmas trees and a hundred images of Santa Claus. But is Christmas not about the birth of Jesus Christ! Apart from Father Christmas there is little to see or hear about the real Christmas nowadays.
What, for instance, do Christmas presents signify? For some, it is about love. But can the exchange of earthly presents once a year represent the Love which Jesus embodied? Many adults can remember how they prayed in front of the manger when they were children. They may even remember asking the infant Jesus to bless and make them good human beings who would grow up to lead little children to Him. They are now leading their children instead to Santa Claus. This behaviour may echo Friedrich Nietzsche, the German philosopher, who said: “There was only one true Christian; and He was crucified.”
Do we still think about the true meaning of hymns about how the angel appeared to the shepherds and how it was first necessary to calm them down, before announcing that “A Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord” was born? Why do adults who experienced Christmas differently remain indifferent while the coming of the three wise men and the Star of Bethlehem do not feature in Christmas-related events at all?
One thing is sure today: we have lost the Message of Christmas. It is all now nothing more than a thriving global business. It is about the manufacturing and exporting of seasonal goods, just the way drapers stock up for summer or Halloween. Children and young adults now speak of Christmas presents and how we should show love by exchanging them. So that is it?
How could Santa Claus have become a part of Christmas celebrations to the extent that the bearded figure of pagan antecedents has displaced the Child in the Manger? If Jesus Christ came to this world to bring salvation to mankind, then something of that message ought to be conveyed at Christmas. Of course, we hear of a new type of Christian salvation: Freedom from material needs, successful career, financial windfalls, and so on. In total: Christianity without the Cross! Without the Living Truth brought to us on that Holy Night! And so we breed a new generation of Christians of whom many might say:” They cannot possibly have read the scriptures at all”.
As the world prepares for this year’s Christmas, let us begin by placing less emphasis on the festivities. I fear we have all travelled too far down the wrong road. Much havoc has already been caused. Peer pressure is everywhere. One thing about pressure is that it sweeps away everything that does not resist it. Whatever resists it establishes its identity and affirms its right to exist, as the Nigerian proverb says: the tree that cannot resist the wind perishes.
“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.” Buddha
Of human bondage
Thinking is something we do by ourselves and on our own, like a solitary activity in the midst of a bustling bazaar. It is a dialogue with ourselves about the state of the world from our perspective as we seek to grasp the relationships between objects and between events which affect us or are important to us. Thought activity draws together the strands of our perceptions in everyday living into a conscious narrative or our interaction with the world, and any sensation which penetrates to our being either externally or internally can evoke thoughts that define our sense of reality. We talk about having thoughts about this and that. We think freely, our mind easily wanders and we cannot help thinking every waking moment, regardless of whether these thoughts are insightful or only fleeting shadows and leave no lasting impression; it is a rudimentary aspect of our sense of self. Our mind is like a river of thoughts through time, at times unbidden and fleeting, and at times a flood or deluge for we are never without a perception, however unconscious, which in turn prompts us to think. What is the nature of thought? What power does it weave?
“I think, therefore I am” Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
We think but do we understand the nature and the effect of thought? Rene Descartes described thought as a ‘universal instrument which can be used in all kinds of situations’. He deliberated on the fact that he was having thoughts and came to the conclusion that if he was thinking, then that must also mean that he existed. On this basis he set philosophy on a modern course. However, if we consider such a question from a higher vantage point, it turns out that there is a limit to what we can think of. We cannot, for example, think insightfully of infinity and eternity without being prompted by our perceptual experience. Nor can we think of nothingness – trying to do so leaves us in a mental blur. In other words, thought operates within boundaries, neither possible in a void or beyond its species of activity. Thus we ‘exist’, not because we think – rather we think because we ‘exist’ and not the other way around as could easily be interpreted from Descartes!
We form and place thoughts in the world without knowing what they do and what responsibility is associated with their generation. As thoughts play such a pivotal role in human life, as will be explained in the following paragraphs, our critical judgment demands exercising far greater care in relation to thought creation and making sure that they accurately reflect what we really want. In other words, if we would not say or do something, then we should not think it either. Within limits, of course! For instance, we can and should be polite and cordial to people we dislike and try to concentrate our thoughts on the matter at hand rather than on the person and try to be objective towards them but nevertheless be on our guard. These thoughts of dislike may be a warning to us to be careful in our dealings with this person and not let him or her get too close to us. Provided, of course, that these negative thoughts about the person arise from our intuitive perception and are not the result of latent prejudices.
Everyone knows that one cannot infer real existence from thoughts alone because we can even think things up that do not exist. On one level we are physical beings, embodying thoughts and feelings. This may suggest to us that mental activity is all brain activity, and that our thoughts are private events inside our heads having no interaction with the outside world. The fact that the brain is the seat of ceaseless electrical activity (BioMagnetic activity) has been known for well over a century. Yes what our brain does is outside our conscious awareness and this makes it impossible to explain life and psychic processes from material events alone. Knowing how neurons fire, or what every cell or neuron is doing at a particular instant in a person’s life, can no more unravel the mind or track the course of feelings and emotions than can the viewing of thought patterns on an electronic monitoring device tell us the nature of the thought. We can safely conclude, however, that the brain – with all its involuntary mechanisms – is not aware of itself despite scientific attempts to prove that the brain is the seat of the mind. Therefore, understanding how the brain works is far from understanding the mind.
On another level we are a psychic personality with character traits that persist over time and which are interlinked with our changing physical condition and biological nature. We desire and perceive – these are awakened feelings! We make decisions in everyday life, we have motions and feel joy and elation, sorrow, anger and humiliation, we have goals, values, beliefs and principles, and in exercising our abilities and capacities we strive towards self-realisation. Experiences awaken a deep awareness within us, a gradually emerging sense of self by which we shape our striving; we are animate. This psychic personality distinguishes us from other creatures, despite the fact that the same organic constituents are common to all creatures – for example, other vertebrates also have sophisticated brains. Our personality exerts, or should exert, a top-down control on the brain, for against all the biases that may stem from brain conditioning there is always the element of conscience to override material considerations and change course if necessary! Above all else, we are self-aware and on this our whole existence appears to be solely based: to know oneself has always been the pinnacle of human striving once it transcends the constraints of purely material motivations.
We understand through perceptions, the impulses of which flood our mind in thoughts. Our ability to think and make choices implies responsibility, for if we are able to choose then we must also accept the consequences of our choices in order to learn from them. Thus, by experience alone, we learn to evaluate and discern.
Thoughts have consistency. Our thoughts can have influences reaching far beyond the individual, and our intentions affect people far away. Conversely, complete strangers can influence our thoughts. For example, there is a group conformity of thought as well as cultural determination of thought, which can often make thought seem involuntary on some occasions. We have all had the experience of thinking about someone and finding on calling that the person has felt our intention and was already thinking about us: ‘I was just thinking about you’ or ‘It’s as if you’ve just read my thoughts!’ The influence of thoughts is also illustrated in sayings like: ‘The thought crossed my mind!’ ‘I can’t shake off the thought!’ Our thoughts are broadcast beyond our brain to influence others at a distance, which could even be as far as the other side of the world.
Strength in union
As gardeners, we grow species of plants to yield a wide range of fruits and vegetables. And as every gardener knows, a seed can only bring forth a harvest of its own kind. When we sow radishes, we do not reap onions; and if we sow onions, we cannot get carrots. In like manner, if we sow diseased seeds, we do not see beautiful fruits or vegetables but sick plants instead, producing bitter fruit.
This is the same in the realm of thoughts. Our thoughts are imbued with living power, which, however, is not our own, but only loaned to us by God, to Whom all power belongs. With the same power we may generate both good and evil thoughts and that is the responsibility we have to bear, because once issued, they are attracted and strengthened by their homogenous kind, which after completing their cycle, will inevitably fall back on us with much increased strength. Thus sooner or later, everything has to unfold itself, good and evil alike. Thus there are not two power sources, one good and one evil, but only one. If we misuse it, it is an affront to God, who gives it to us in order that we use it only for the good. It is similar to the situation of a person who receives a helpful gift from someone, but then, in turn, uses this gift to harm another.
As with earthly seeds, having positive and constructive thoughts and good intentions is not enough, as these must be reinforced and supported by a constant stream of good will, and we must desist from indulging in bad thoughts, or even superficial ones that would, like weeds, sprout into action as soon as we become lax in our volition for the good and overrun the initial good that we have sown. Good intentions or volition are only the beginning- they need to be put into action. However, we are never alone in our striving. Just as our thoughts can and do influence others, our thoughts will in turn, attract others of a similar nature so that these can produce results which may far exceed our own modest abilities. This is commonly referred to as ‘inspiration’. Thus many of the great discoveries and enduring works of art can be attributed to the efforts of many, not just to their acknowledged author.
The planes of our thoughts
Around every person, the laws of nature weave an invisible material veil which corresponds to the nature to his or her thoughts. This will be either dark or light, or in the case of most of us, somewhere in-between. The nature of thoughts, the direction of the individual’s will not only shapes his personal fate, but also works to form the fate of the human race, which will, of course, be determined by the direction taken by the majority. It goes without saying that the better our thoughts are, the finer and clearer the veil surrounding us will be. Therefore we may feel happy and light sometimes, without knowing why. This, however, must come from within and not perchance be induced by alcohol or drugs, which after wearing off, will plunge us even more into darkness and depression. Similarly, the love and concern of another can form a protective embrace around us that may lighten our aura and help us to see clearly in times of distress or danger, but this will only come to full effect if we ourselves are capable of giving love and do not harbour thoughts of hatred or vengeance in times of affliction and distress. Otherwise, this protective cloak may well envelop us but will not be able to penetrate the dark layers caused by such thoughts.
Thus every deed that emanates from us takes a fine or base form of one kind or the other in accordance with its nature. The deed is clearly visible to all in its outermost manifestation, but the thought preceding it only becomes visible in the finer material planes, which will however confront us with full force when the time comes for us to depart this life. The unavoidable harvest comes back to us greatly multiplied, either here on earth or in the beyond because there is no division between this life and the hereafter and uniform laws govern the whole. Driven by these laws, the deed is strengthened by the attraction of its similar kind. This harvest may, of course, only reach us during our next earth-life, strongly influencing the circumstances of our birth and subsequent fate. Because we have no recollection of our previous existence, we wonder why certain things happen to us, for which there is no visible cause, but the actual cause may well lie far back in a previous earthly existence. Because it is the experience that counts, it would not really help us to know the intricate details of our failings in a previous earth life. Let us assume somebody was an oppressor of some kind in a previous earth life. When he is reborn, he will find himself in circumstances where he himself will be subjected to oppression. Suffering under this, he will recognise it as wrong and will endeavour never to inflict this on anybody else and going further, he may even make it his life’s task helping others in a similar situation. He thereby not only redeems his guilt but the experience will also remove this flaw from his character for good. At least, he is given the opportunity to do so.
Whether we wish to receive and spread blessing or evil, love or hatred is a personal responsibility that attends our free will and no one can evade it. May we then fervently heed the exhortation from the Grail Message- In the Light of Truth by Abd-ru-shin: ‘Keep the hearth of your thoughts pure, for by so doing you will bring peace and be happy!’
Thoughts precede our actions and choices and are regarded as free and often no more than a pastime as we can think about anything, creatively or destructively, without any constraints placed on us by earthly laws. But they lead to words, and attitudes or actions that can affect the same in others. In this way, these thoughts make us, in a sense, partly responsible for the actions of others that we would never commit ourselves, and that we might condemn in the strongest terms. So, for example, are the acts of terror and genocide we so strongly condemn, incomprehensible to us in their brutality, fuelled in part by the thoughts of ethnic, tribal, racial, xenophobic and religious bias emitted constantly in an unrelenting swarm by many people.
Consider a wintry landscape with softly falling snowflakes – they may be regarded as inconsequential droplets, but they join together and form vast, rejuvenating blankets of snow spread densely, sometimes more than a metre thick over the ground. It can be a serene and uplifting scene conferring a particular beauty on winter, and yet millions of these fine, light flakes thundering down mountainsides to form blizzards under the force of gravity can wreak in one terrible moment the devastation of an avalanche.
Our thoughts float like snowflakes, but are steered by the nature of our volition and reinforced by their similar kinds through the cosmic law of attraction of homogenous species – they are also subject in their effects to the equally cosmic law of gravity. (For some clarity here, the laws of gravity as understood by physics, both classical and modern, are only a description of the effects of this law in our gross-material environment and therefore cannot describe its effects in the finer material planes to which thoughts belong). The mass of good or evil thoughts that is directed towards other people, nations or races, operates in the cosmic laws towards the desired effects.
Journey to self
So far, we have been unable to fathom the nature of thoughts, because they develop on a plane that is beyond visible and tangible matter, and therefore are only accessible to what is homogenous. The physical body with its brilliant facilities, including the brain with its intellect that expresses thoughts, is merely a means to an end, a tool in the service of our animating core of being. With an animal, this inner core is the soul, and with the human being, however, it is the higher placed spirit. Therefore we are much more than intelligent animals as science would have us believe. We did not ‘evolve’ from the animal kingdom but the body of the highest developed animal served as a ‘vehicle’ for the human species to enter the physical world for the first time. Without the spirit spark from the luminous realm that we bear within, the physical body would never have developed viably in the direction it did, as an earthly likeness of the high primordial spirits standing at the summit of Creation, who are actually the images of God.
Without the physical body the spirit can neither mature nor be effective on earth. With the exit of the spirit from the body, the brain also disintegrates with the material body, and thinking ceases, without the spirit being inherently affected. However, the thoughts previously have already done some harm, do not ‘die’ with the brain but their forms will attach themselves to the departed soul like weights, pulling it, like a balloon to more luminous realms. These are part of the ‘works’ that await and follow us upon our departure from the earth.
The human spirit is on a passage to awaken to a self-conscious personality. It is endowed with abilities that it must develop in order to attain this maturity. However, the spirit can only operate directly, in the homogenous spiritual plane. And to return fully conscious and be active there is the ultimate end of its wandering. On the great journey of development through the planes of Creation, the spirit was cloaked on each step with a mantle, akin to a body, laid as a protective covering around it so that it could work effectively. Finally, in gross matter, as the furthest stage of its wanderings, it takes on the physical body as the outermost cloak. Thus on earth, the human spirit is cloaked in all the different species in Creation, and each cloak or body has its own sensory organs that are functional within the particular plane or species. All the attributes of the physical body have only one purpose, to be mediating or intermediary tools enabling the spirit to interact with gross matter. On earth the transforming organs- the cerebellum and the cerebral brain – convert the pictures arising in intuition, which conveys the volition of the spirit, into thoughts and words.
In the seeing, hearing and perceiving enabled through the physical body the human spirit on earth can absorb experiences that help it to unfold in its abilities and thereby grow in consciousness. The more the spirit is imprinted with experiences on earth, the more the inner cloaks also develop their organs of perception, so that we can on occasions see and hear with our ‘inner or mind’s eye’ and ‘inner ear’. This also enable s the spirit to awaken quicker to conscious activity after leaving the earth.
Scale of mind
Control of the body belongs to the spirit, and our developing spirit possesses our dominant will. It distinguishes us from other creatures, and it is able to liberate us from domination by instincts. By its exertion, we stand to transcend our earthly bonds. The spirit must liberate itself from the bound will of the intellect. Bound, because being a product of the earthly brain, the intellect will never be able to transcend the earthly domain. A human being who blindly subjects himself to an unlimited control of his intellect cannot comprehend beyond earthly conceptions of time and space, unless he is able to break this shackle from within by awakening his spirit, which has become sluggish and weak through inactivity.
We bear an inner body of fine material substance, so-called astral body, which is next-in-line to the physical body and can be considered as prototype of it. The existence of the astral body can be demonstrated by the so-called ‘phantom pain’ suffered by people who have lost a limb and this pain is centred where the limb once was. This not only shows that damage to the physical body does not necessarily impact on the astral body but also demonstrates that physical pain may actually come from the astral body itself.
Thoughts take on form in the same consistency as that of the astral body, energized by the life-giving power that streams from the summit of Creation. This body can consequently be enhanced or disfigured by our thoughts. The physical body, however, being of a much coarser consistency, does not change to the same degree as the astral body (except, perhaps, sometimes our facial expression, which can reveal much about our character, especially as we get older.) In this way, our thoughts have a bearing on ourselves and on others.
The expression ‘gut feeling’ is no mere metaphor. Our inner body of astral substance is attached by a cord of radiation to the physical body at the solar plexus, a network of intercommunicating autonomic nerve fibres in front of the upper abdominal aorta. Here our living core of spirit is able to connect with the physical body and this channels our gut feeling, or, more precisely, our intuition. This cord of radiation is often referred to as the ‘silver cord’. The finality of death, when the spirit together with its finer coverings separates from the physical body, occurs when this cord is severed. As long as this cord remains intact, and may do so for a number of days after the declaration of death, the spirit may still be sensitive to what happens to the body, even if the brainstem has ceased functioning. (a medical criterion for death).
The butterfly effect
Thought forms influence the volition of people who are similarly disposed. Our volition moulds the neutral cosmic power currents into living forms that attract what is homogenous. As a consequence of our spiritual ambivalence, hatred, envy, intolerance, oppression and the like are forms that are most prevalent, including the demons and evil spirits known to primitive cultures. Even in our ‘enlightened’ cultures, such things are hinted at in the saying ‘confronting one’s demons’, whereby one’s own thought creations can gain tremendous power by attracting their similar kinds. Every one of us is constantly bombarded with profusions of bizarre or evil thought forms, which try to attach themselves to us. People who are weak-willed or whose psyche is largely ruled by their passions, but who may not necessarily be evil-minded, will process information from this assailing influence. What is more, without being aware of it, they will eventually yield to such an influence. There are some very revealing after-the-fact explanations in such cases, seen through statements such as:’ I was no longer myself!’, ‘I don’t know what came over me!’, ‘I can’t explain what took possession of me and made me do it’ , and ‘Something or other got hold of me – it was stronger than me’. What holds true for individuals also holds true for the masses whose passions are then exploited by demagogues or other ‘charismatic figures’ and their managers, channelling them in a desired direction, leading to mass hysteria. Examples of this are not only evident in the political arena but can also be seen at rock concerts, religious rallies and sporting events. Protective freedom from these attacks comes from a strong and unwaning volition for what is good within the context of spiritual vigilance.
According to the Light of Truth: The Grail Message by Abd-ru-shin, the solar plexus is designed to receive information from our immaterial core of spirit. Trunks of nerve fibres projecting from the brainstem, the stalk on which the cerebrum and the cerebellum are perched, supply it. Direct communication is thus enabled between the solar plexus and the brain. Studies can identify the neural networks that process our emotional responses – love, hate, fear, joy – and their links with our thoughts, moods, memory and behaviour. For example, a situation of fear or excitement evokes a rapid heartbeat and sweating that mobilises the body to respond. Yet we experience joy, love, fear and anxiety, not with our head but in the pit of our stomach.
Intuition is an immediate recognition made from our spirit core, which transcends the material domain in its survey, and is not a perception exclusively informed by reason, explicit memories and learned associations. Some snap judgments and courses of action simply slip into mind inexplicably, sometimes after we have pondered for a long time to solve a problem or how it is solved in the morning after sleeping on it. In pure intuition, the spirit makes a decision. It is communicated by, a wave of power via the solar plexus to the cerebellum, and then it is adapted for the cerebral mechanism, where the rational perspective of the intellectual process finalises an appropriate expression, which might be a thought, a word, an action or an impression for future behaviour. Our unconscious intuitive and conscious rational minds unite to make possible the greatest of cognitive feats that must astonish our ‘thinking brain’.
The intuitive mind is nurtured by silence, contemplation and committed volition, and striving for the good, the good not just of ourselves or some abstraction called ‘humanity’ or ‘the environment’, but what we know to be good in itself because the spirit intuitively tells us it is so. The spirit knows what is ‘good’ because it originates in a part of Creation where that which we call ‘the good’ is embedded in life itself. Left to itself, the spirit will always choose the way upward, towards its origin. It is only the intellect, if it is allowed to dominate, that holds it down. Thus we should – as the Grail Message exhorts us – let the spirit within us ‘have its way’.
We are forever thinking, one thought immediately following or displacing another with hardly a moment to spare. Trains of thoughts and perceptions sweep endlessly across the landscapes of our minds, with a tiny part discharging into words and language. The general belief is that thoughts are generated by the brain and are no more than the exclusive product of the intellect. In reality, without the spirit, the brain cannot think. Due to its higher origin, the spirit possesses the power and the ability to press out forms from the substance of material planes.
We now know how much of our own and mankind’s weal or woe depends upon the thoughts we generate. Our greatest effort must therefore be directed to surrounding ourselves with constructive, luminous thoughts!
